About B
I had the great privilege of growing up with my younger brother on the beautiful North Shore and in Sechelt, BC. In 2015, I moved to South Surrey, where I now raise my three incredible boys: Haiden (age 8) and twins Beckham and Sawyer (age 4).
My journey toward birth work hasn’t been a straight path, but looking back, the signs have always been there. The most profound inspiration has been the incredible women who supported me during each of my pregnancies and births. They were patient, they truly listened, and they taught me the importance of trusting my instincts and speaking up for myself. As a woman and a mother, these weren’t skills that came easily to me, but their guidance transformed my life.
That’s not to say my pregnancies, births, or postpartum periods were without challenges. They weren’t ideal, nor were they easy. There are choices I regret, lessons I wish I’d embraced earlier, and moments I’ve had to leave unfinished. I’ve only recently witnessed a vaginal birth myself, having had two caesareans. Each of these experiences, both beautiful and difficult, has shaped who I am today.
I am now a fierce advocate for myself, my family, and the families I support. I am a meticulous planner and so detail-oriented that even I sometimes marvel at how far I’ll go to get things just right. These traits, combined with my passion for empowering others, make me deeply committed to advocating for your choices, your family, and your unique journey—just as I do for mine.
This is me. I am B
I’m not going to sugar coat it. Being a new parent is tough! There are a million decisions to make at a time when you can barely remember to put on socks. Everything is new and overwhelming. You’re trying to navigate becoming a mother, your body and hormones are shifting. I think back to the time when I was a new mother and someone reached out to me and said “You can call me anytime, like ANYTIME” I am your 3am friend. This to me was a turning point. I knew I could call this person at any time day or night. I could ask them anything and receive tips and advice without judgement. It took the guessing out of a lot of things for me.
